Technical description
Non-contact infrared forehead thermometer
Ref . 086.0001
This thermometer is intended to measure the forehead temperature in infants, children and adults, at home or in the hospital.
Designed for measuring the temperature of the human body based on the relationship between temperature and measurable infrared radiation.
Energy saving function
Works with 2 AAA batteries not supplied.
Indication by three-color backlight:
- Temperature <37.5 ° C: green
- Temperature between 37.5 and 38 ° C: orange
- Temperature> 38 ° C: red
Basic principles :
All objects above absolute zero temperature emit a certain percentage of infrared radiation energy depending on their temperature. The amount of radiation energy and the distribution of the wavelength are very closely related. When the temperature of the human body is between 36 and 37 ° C, the body emits infrared radiation with a wavelength of 9 to 13? M. Based on this principle and the relationship between the temperature of the forehead surface and that of the eardrum, we are able to measure the actual temperature of the human body.
Informative interface:
- When the temperature exceeds the available range, the LCD screen displays "Lo" (temperature too low) or "Hi" (temperature too high).
- When the conditions of the environment of use do not correspond to the planned specifications, the LCD screen displays "Err".
- When the thermometer batteries are flat, the low voltage icon is displayed. The device has a self-test function.
- When a hardware malfunction is detected, the LCD screen displays "ErrH" or "ErrE".
Memory mode:
The thermometer records the last 32 temperature measurements. The last temperature will be automatically displayed on the next start-up. The screen displays the "MEM" icon.
